“At Home Outside” is a lovely new children’s book focused on community cats, by Valerie Ingram and Alistair Schroff of Lakes Animal Friendship Society in Southbank, B.C. The sweet rhyming story is beautifully illustrated by New York artist Amanda Moeckel. The book joins the society’s amazing “Kindness Collection” that even includes an original song, “Love, Love, Love the Cats!”

My reading helper, Cassie with a library copy of Bono In this marvellous memoir and travelogue of New York City, we meet Bono, a special-needs foster cat of writer Helen Brown.
Cassie with my library copy of the book I loved this heartwarming holiday tale told entirely from the point of view of a rescued ginger cat.
Cassie inspects a favourite Christmas book In 2012, UK author James Bowen first shared the gripping story of how his rescued orange tabby, Bob, rescued him as he recovered from addiction. His story touched people around the world as it was translated into many languages. Since then, the duo’s story has been shared in more books, an award-winning movie, and now the heartwarming Christmas book, A Gift From Bob, is also being filmed!
Faith loving life years after her rescue Beautiful Faith was a pivotal rescue of ca-r-ma.org Cat Rescue Maritimes. Her story is told in a guest blog post by Madi Legere, author of Diary of a Mad Trapper.
Cassie enjoys the outdoors I love that cats can join their humans on outdoor adventures like hiking, surfing and boating. Laura Moss’ wonderful book, Adventure Cats, brings these stories to life along with marvellous how-to tips that helped me to leash train my own kitty.
Kringle inspects my library copy of the book What a pleasure to read insights on cat behaviour from Canada’s leading cat behaviourist, Daniel Filion of Montreal, Quebec! It also showed me that there is a great need for information about TNR programs in the French language.
I adored this little book filled with true stories about heroic and amazing cats from around the world. Beautifully designed and peppered with interesting cat facts and tips, it’s a lovely coffee table book that would be great to find at your veterinary hospital waiting room.
