Adorable Teeny Tiny One day in the lunchroom where I worked, I learned that one of my co-workers volunteered as foster coordinator for Surrey’s animal shelter. When she learned about my love for cats, Christine encouraged me to consider fostering a kitten.

Ginger before her great adventure A few years ago I had an experience that felt like the power of prayer. I had just moved back to Vancouver. It was summer, and I kept the litter box on the balcony of my third floor apartment for my two cats while we were settling in. But Ginger was curious and sometimes tried to jump to the rooftop patio of the suite above us. I deterred her as best I could, but one day I noticed a distinct absence.
Blackie and Ginger on their cat tree I shared a love story on my other blog that you might enjoy. Ginger and Blackie are important in the story, and even Kringle makes an appearance, but it’s about love and friendship and family, about hard times and how love can help get us through them. Hope to see you there!
- Irene Plett TOPICS: Love, Ginger, Blackie, Kringle, friendship, family Kringle with my library copy of the book This book is filled with great advice, but can’t we close the door on using punishment to train cats? There is helpful advice on “Kitty Feng Shui” or creating the right environment, adding another pet, aggression, litter box issues, scratching, and travel and carrier training. These tips are neatly organized and presented attractively.
