Tara and Lucy When life throws curveballs, it helps to have kitties in your corner. In this guest blog post, Tara White shares how healing it was to get involved as a volunteer with C.A.R.E.S. cat shelter in Langley.
I was touched by this story of a sweet three-legged cat named Stumpy, now called Trin, in the care of C.A.R.E.S. cat shelter in Langley, B.C. Susan Phillips, the society’s newsletter editor, kindly agreed to share it here in this guest blog post.
“At Home Outside” is a lovely new children’s book focused on community cats, by Valerie Ingram and Alistair Schroff of Lakes Animal Friendship Society in Southbank, B.C. The sweet rhyming story is beautifully illustrated by New York artist Amanda Moeckel. The book joins the society’s amazing “Kindness Collection” that even includes an original song, “Love, Love, Love the Cats!” Cory had similar markings to Valerie’s Angel Valerie Giles thanked the community of Prince George, B.C., for helping her to find her cat, Angel, on a cold November day in 1994. Each sorted out troubling problems — during a worldwide pandemic! Perhaps my experiences can help you decide if you need similar help, in this four-step how-to guide.
Cassie celebrating Canada Day An article outlining worldwide governments supporting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) was removed recently from Wikipedia for unknown reasons. A computer-savvy cat advocate was able to find an archived copy, and I decided to publish it here so that others can benefit.
